This month, we caught up with Senior Analyst, Kyle Michel, to learn more about what he does at NEOS and something he thinks everyone should do.

Tell me a little bit about what you do for NEOS and our clients.

I am a Senior Analyst for NEOS on the Operations Excellence team. I partner with clients to make sure projects run smoothly in the day-to-day work and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables, as well as providing insights into client’s business situations. I’ve spent significant time working on vendor relationships and implementations as well as supporting the build of an Organizational Project Management process. In particular, I enjoy putting together process maps and getting deep into the details of how an organization’s processes work.

What is something that not many people know about you?

Many know I have a Master’s Degree from Cambridge University, but not many know it’s in Theology.

What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?

My family. With so much of life happening from home now, it’s only made me realize how important my family is to me. As long as I’m with them every day, isolation doesn’t seem so lonely!

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives and why?

Leave your comfort zone and see the world from new perspectives. In my life I’ve seen the world from many different angles – for example, a social worker in a city, a student receiving education in a foreign country – and it has broadened my view of the world and helped me understand not only that people have a wide array of different perspectives, but given me insight as to why perspectives differ.

If you could choose one word to describe the culture at NEOS, what would it be and why?

Family. It sounds cliché, but more than any other organization I’ve been with NEOS feels like a family – we all care about each other and support one another, and if you’re having trouble you know for sure there is someone close by to help!
