Transform your organization with our provocative Agile Health Assessment.

Whether it’s incremental improvement or a strategic transformation – our engagement is scaled to the level of your specific Agile journey. Our Agile Health Assessment service offering can range from six weeks for a departmental assessment to twelve weeks for an enterprise-level assessment and lays the foundation upon which successful Agile delivery can be built.

“We have done amazing things together. We implemented Agile and attained monthly releases, achieving in a few months what it took a comparable team here two years to achieve.”

How It Works

  • Observe and Assess

Each organization has a unique starting point, and no two objectives are the same – our first step is to understand where you are now and where you need to be. We observe ceremonies, evaluate organizational structures, and assess the application of Agile principles to examine the level of Agile maturity within your organization. In this phase, we apply an Agile team examination to gain insight into your internal perspectives regarding the relative success of Agile transformation within the organization.

  • Analyze and Diagnose

Through our proprietary set of eight Agile lenses we will capture how effectively your organization is enabling Agile programs to deliver business and IT value rapidly and predictably.

    • Alignment of Deliverable to Delivery Model – Validate that Agile is the right delivery model for your work. Certain projects may not align well but if Agile is the right fit, validation that Agile is the right delivery model can help with executive support and stakeholder buy-in.
    • Roles and Responsibilities – Adjust or clarify roles and responsibilities within the teams to pinpoint opportunities for improvement in role adherence, fostering the importance of building cross-functional teams to maximize your Agile investment.
    • Engagement – Using the results of our diagnostic assessment, we will identify opportunities to bolster adoption and support.
    • Tools and Training – Establish best practices that create a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging initial and refresher training supported by real-time coaching to ensure reinforcement and adoption of Agile principles.
    • Ceremonies and Communication – Evaluate existing ceremonies (attendees, agendas, frequency, etc.) to eliminate redundancy and ensure effectiveness. Ensure that your teams are leveraging delivery tools (e.g. Rally, Jira) to their maximum benefit.
    • Delivery – Encourage ownership and accountability by ensuring that accepted guidelines and practices exist for the creation and storage of all Agile content, including quality management of epics, features, and stories.
    • Success and Quality Measures – Ensure transparency of work planned and completed across teams and trains by leveraging a combination of out of the box reporting and custom reports.
    • Sustainability and Support – Ensure that teams have the on-going support required to continue delivering properly defined epics, features and stories and to ensure consistency across scrum teams. Also ensure that processes are in place to periodically validate the performance of team members and leaders in the context of Agile delivery.
  • Adjust and Adapt

We work with your Agile leadership, product owners/product managers, scrum masters, and your delivery teams to recommend and roadmap necessary adjustments to your delivery framework. We design and implement short-term improvement opportunities while building out the long-term approach, so by the end of the assessment period, the organization is already working more effectively.

  • On-Going Re-Assessments

After the assessment and implementation of the short-term improvement opportunities, our team can support your continuous improvement efforts, ensuring you achieve the benefits associated with effective Agile delivery, and offering guardrails to ensure your delivery teams stay focused. The level of involvement in this subsequent phase varies depending on the needed level of Agile transformation.
