Patrick Miazga, Analyst, Shares How He Helps Our Clients, Who Inspires Him, and #LifeatNEOS

Tell me a little bit about what you do for NEOS and our clients.

What I am asked to do! I think that’s what makes the daily job and every client engagement so interesting because the client can request changes to a deliverable, or a fellow colleague may need help on a project.

What is the one thing you could not live without?

Cheese. The day I can buy cheese without looking at the price will be one of the best days. From the different affinage (aging or ripening) to the terroir (unique characteristics to the area a cheese is made in). The many different cheeses and the way they pair with meats and wines is just one of the many reasons it’s part of my Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

Who inspires you and why?

My parents for sure. Growing up being a first generation American and seeing my parents do everything they could to place the opportunities in front of me that they were not given really makes me thankful and motivated to keep chasing those opportunities to one day give back to them.

What are you currently reading?

“The Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@%!” by Mark Manson. I have read it before and now I will pick it up before bed and just read different chapters. It gives you an interesting perspective on life’s challenges and it avoids the cliché millionaire morning routine must do. It’s the slap in the face you didn’t know you needed.

If you could choose one word to describe the culture at NEOS, what would it be and why?

Connected – Even now with everyone sitting behind a screen miles away we are all still connected whether that’s group chats or video calls. The little chats here and there to see how everyone is doing, including their families, makes every NEOS employee feel like an extended member of your own family.
